I first heard these guys (and gal) on The Up Another Octave Transmission comp. Where they have a great standout track, on a comp full of great tunes. Then I recently came across this 12" and picked it up on the strength of that song "China Sleeping". The b-side "He Waiting" delivers the same kind of spastic art damaged punk-wave fun, reminding me Vancouver's AKA and their Red Therapy EP. "Arabian

Very fine artwave / postpunk 7" from England. In fact this was the first release from Glass Records, that putout a large slew of indispensable sounds in the 80's. Recorded in '78 and '79 though not released until '80. There's some info here. Discogs has a blurry scan of the insert, my record didn't come with here. That tells the tale of this record and the band written by drummer and Glass

Plastic Idols from England, not to be confused with the Texas band. This was the second release from the Stoke-on-Trent label Clay, that became well known for hardcore bands Discharge and GBH. But this here is a great postpunk 7" with the synth mixed to the foreground. http://www.mediafire.com/download/8ocnoo08b6zrpt6/PlasticIdols.rar

Utterly fantastic post-punk single from Sweden, wherein the a-side sounds of Siouxsie's Creatures. The flip side is a more sinister sounding chunk of quasi no-wave. All with excellent tribal-esque drum stick hands. http://www.mediafire.com/download/rqavv2kts89csmk/Texas+Instruments.rar

Totally top shelf art-wave / post-punk from Chicago. Sounds have both a detached cold wave feel and quirky discordant art stab spasms radiating and bubbling through out. Interesting arrangements, and lyrics with strong vision. My record came with something of a press kit which is included, so you can see more infos on the band, the songs, and old reviews of this here EP.

Wacky art rock / new wave from Cleveland, Ohio. Continuing on the art damaged trajectory blazed by other Ohio greats before. Hints of  The Styrenes, The Electric Eels, Pere Ubu, and Devo. Their song "Dear Dad" sounds like it could be a lost Devo demo from the early days. Lyric insert included. http://www.mediafire.com/download/dqs5a9r422e9qcw/ModernArtStudio.rar

Very strange dark industrial experimental offerings from the Washington DC area. This record brings to mind Factrix, and early Current 93. Released on Outside Records after the demise of the awesome noise-punk band Nuclear Crayons. http://www.mediafire.com/download/pbz8u13y4l281zs/EarthHellBand.rar
