Having played with the likes of Randy Rhoads while still living in California and meeting and jamming briefly with BB and Albert King, Stephen Dale Petit is about to make his own mark on the guitar world. After he moved to the UK in the 80’s he gained an opening slot for Clapton and collaborated with the likes of Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Mick Jones (The Clash).
This reissue contains 3 new tracks and a different cover than its predecessor. All of the songs contained here are pure 100% blues and not the watered down versions allot of people are accustomed to; this is the real shit. Think back to a time when you had Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Clapton still had fire in his veins. Apart from a few like the late Stevie Ray or Jeff Healey most of what people call blues is just a diluted form to appeal to the masses.
Stevie and Jeff carried on the torch and remained true and brought it to Joe Public: Stephen Dale Petit aims to do the same with GUITARARAMA. Mostly instrumental but the soulfulness speaks for itself. Great melodies and playing throughout are a delight to the ears. You can envision yourself sitting in a smoky club watching him perform each and every tune.
Petit is doing what he does best, playing Blues guitar and we are better off for it.
