3 Almonds and a Walnut is the 2nd album from Roshi featuring Pars Radio, the band built around Welsh-Iranian songstress Roshi and her collaborator Graham Dowdall ( gagarin, Pere Ubu, Nico etc ). Roshi's music includes her own very individual take on song Iranian songs she grew up listening to together with her own personal songs exploring her own life stories and evocations of time and place, in arrangemts of keyboards, electronics, cello and found sounds. Roshi's voice has been described as " a thing of quivering beauty " and the music compared to the work of film maker David Lynch - they combine the fragility of Roshi's beautiful airy vocals with electronic sound worlds , elements of South London Bass, industrial percussion - strange yet accessible and memorable.
