I'll have two consecutive posts about two great albums of the first half of 2012. The first one is the s/t album of Django Django. "It’s a dream of the psychedelic tropics, a heady explosion of colours, an album that takes what it means to be ‘in an indie band’ and gives it a good shake. Time to pay a visit" as Jamie Fullerton writes on the review for NME. Now, the obvious link with the Beta Band is, apart from the similarities in the sound of the two groups, that John Maclean, the DJ/sampler/keyboardist of Beta Band is the brother of David Maclean, the drummer/producer of Django Django.
