"During my trip to Chicago or how I like to pronounce it, Chic-ago, there were some must things I had to do. Have authentic Chicago deep dish pizza, ride on the L, drive on LSD and go hear some live Blues.
I was able to experience all of this. Chicago deep dish pizza is one of the strangest looking but tastiest pizzas I have ever tried. The L train was a great way to relax and take into downtown. And driving on LSD is always fun to tell people you did. LSD is Lake Shore Drive and not the hallucinogenic.
Now to the Blues. This was my first time hearing live Blues and it was so awesome. This place is small, dark and full of energy. Admission is 10 dollars on weekends and this allows you to go to both Blue Chicago clubs. There is a small stage and dance floor and several tables. Drinks are good and inexpensive. The band I saw that night was so amazing. The beautiful sounds that came out of their instruments easily made me feel their passion for their art. Everyone in the club could feel their vibe and was getting into it. I don't think any other music moves me as much as Blues and Jazz.
This was a great experience coming here. Chicago is such an amazing city. There was a good mix of people there that night. You had the casual dressed sitting next to people in tuxedos and formal dresses. All together under the same room listening to some terrific tunes. That's why I will always have a true love for good music and food. They bring people of all race, color or creed together." ~ club visitor
