Album Info

One of Bill's few records that actually feature The Coz singing it up! This one's like his work on Warner Brothers -- with funky backings behind Bill's slightly-silly soul vocals. The set was produced by Stu Gardner, who ostensibly did the music too -- and Stu's on organ, piano, and clavinette, in a group that features George Bohannon, Syl River, Ray Parker, and Rudy Johnson, plus backup vocals by Patti Austin and Lani Groves. Tracks include "Kiss Me", "Put Love In Its Proper Place", "Take Your Time", "Dedicated To Phyllis", "It's Strange", "Dance of the Frozen Lion", and "Train To Mempis".

Partee is an imprint of Stax.
